The Clean Jobs for Pennsylvania coalition today issued the following statement in response to today's briefing hosted by Gov. Tom Wolf focused on the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI):

"The more Pennsylvanians learn about RGGI, how it works and the many benefits it provides, the more they support the program. That's why members of Clean Jobs for Pennsylvania appreciate today's update provided by Gov. Wolf, Sen. Comitta and Rep. Herrin. It is critical Pennsylvanians continue to hear from our government leaders about this much-needed program.

"We applaud Sen. Comitta and Rep. Herrin for introducing legislation that would target funding from RGGI proceeds to communities impacted by climate change. And we agree with DEP Secretary Patrick McDonnell who said that not only will RGGI have tangible health, environmental and economic benefits for all Pennsylvania, it also will elevate and uplift our state's most distressed regions by investing RGGI proceeds into those communities."
