Cleaning up the air in PA

Pennsylvania’s nuclear energy plants prevent 34 million metric tons of carbon dioxide from being released every single year. That’s like taking 7 million cars off the road. 

But carbon dioxide isn’t the only pollutant that’s making our air dirty, raising average temperatures, accelerating climate change, and negatively impacting our health. Thankfully, in addition to carbon dioxide, nuclear energy avoids other pollutants that cause smog, acid rain, respiratory diseases, and lung cancer.
